Look at page 14 in the new Stained Glass News for a preview of what Scottie will be demonstrating. Maudie has invited Scottie to Grand Island to teach us how to use the Morton System and her techniques for stamping on glass. Scottie has been in the stained glass industry for 28 years and has taught many workshops. We are all looking forward to having her here and hope you will attend. Space will be limited for this workshop so let us know if you are interested in signing up. We will have more information for you later.

Linda "Scottie" Scott has been working professionally in the art glass field since 1980. For years, she and Diann Schwerdtfeger operated successful retail and commission glass studios in both Oklahoma City and Edmond, Oklahoma.

Scottie is a regular at the Art Glass trade shows and has traveled the country conducting seminars in painting and torch-work. A celebrated glass painter, Scottie was able to learn from the best, having studied with world renowned glass painters Albinis Elskus and Richard Mallard. She is now very much "in demand" working church windows throughout the U.S. She also designs, paints and fabricates custom commercial and residential glass commissions.

One of her most rewarding efforts is to help teachers "teach" and become successful promoters for the industry. For years she has worked in conjunction with Morton Glass Works to promote their innovative products, and help more glass enthusiasts become successful in cutting glass.
